three students from the mit, as a result of a written assignment: "design tomorrow's sustainable office supply", invented the sprout pencil. the sprout pencil was successfully launched on kickstarter in 2013. today, it is selling in over 50 markets. sprout breaks with the idea of a linear value chain, which starts with the extraction of resources and end up as waste. therefor, sprout products are a countermove to the "take, make, dispose" culture. our approach to product development is, that they must be part of solutions to global challenges, such as abuse of nature’s scarce resources and overuse. sprout finds its raison d'être already in the concept development phase and design of the products. sprout products are created to be recycled, where biological components are part of a cycle: reduce, reuse, recycle, rethink. we ensure products that are 100% sustainable and leave a positive footprint. you show care and responsibility for the environment – and it is both fun and functiona
