square1 aims to reduce the illegal distribution and abuse of prescription drugs that are increasingly problematic to our society, starting from the bottom and working up to the top. our mission is to reduce the impact of the opioid crisis by educating communities and leading by example. the opioid epidemic is a complicated problem that often starts by misuse of a prescription drug. robert redfield, the director of the centers for disease control and prevention, has declared the overprescription and abuse of painkillers the “public health crisis of our time”. it is essential to give this problem and the communities impacted by it the attention and resources that it needs. we are committed to do precisely that.
