Sri Lanka Turtle Conservation Project

the sri lankan turtle conservation project (sltcp) is an independent sri lankan environmental ngo set towards conserving endangered marine turtles and their habitats. we conduct research, education & awareness programs, and community livelihood development programs to protect marine turtles and the coastal environment. we support and facilitate government agencies, academic institutions, and other ngos to devise and implement sustainable marine & coastal conservation strategies. sltcp is currently administrated by a committee of five residents of sri lanka. spearheaded by thushan kapurusinghe, a marine turtle specialist. our head office is located in panadura while our field conservation projects are carried out in rekawa, kalpitiya, and in puttalam areas.
