sri sai lions netralaya is non-profit eye hospital, established in 12th december 2004 in patna. it serves the under-served and poor communities of bihar through it’s charity wing. our hospital is equipped with 150 beds; we are an advanced secondary eye care center offering sub-specialty services in the field of ophthalmology in bihar. ssln has performed 1, 52, 000 surgeries for cataract, glaucoma, dcr, dct and squint; out of which 85% surgeries have been done free of cost. as per the 2011 census, the state was the third most crowded state in india with aggregate population of 104,099,452 (10.41 crores). in bihar 33.74% population comes under the poverty line. health seeking behavior is lacking and due to lack of awareness; people do not approach the right place and person for the treatment of eye related ailments. this is the reason ‘majority of people’ suffers from eye ailments in bihar.
