Sstpa Gipuzkoa Astigarraga-Oiartzun

safe and secure parking areas (sstpas) astigarraga – oiartzun the project develops two sstpas that operate with intelligent transport systems (its) for heavy goods vehicles (hgvs) moving along the atlantic ten-t core network corridor. the sstpas are located in the basque region of gipuzkoa in the north of spain at the municipalities of astigarraga and oiartzun, in immediate vicinity to the french border. the project optimises and safeguards the basque road infrastructure as well as the sustainable traffic management in order to enhance traffic flows in the region. the two sstpas, comprising 505 parking lots, provide hgvs with adequate secure parking combined with modern services and resting facilities. the deployment of the sstpas is co-funded by the european union connecting europe facility (cef). the two sstpas will be certified according to the gold level of the eu-parking standard, in accordance with the requirements of the directive 2010/40/eu, the delegated regulation 885/2013/e
