St. Louis Birth Rhythms

st. louis birth rhythms invites couples to use music and other art forms to prepare for and experience music. each family is unique and each birth within that family is unique. the services provided by our music therapists are individualized to each family's experience. in the creative arts birthing (cab) course, couples learn about stages of labor, what to take to the hospital, how to manage discomfort, and much more. they also get a chance to learn about themselves through the arts. we ask "what do we say when we use form, color, and size instead of words." by the end of the course, the couple has a birth art gallery they have created and can take to their birth space. during a music therapy assisted childbirth (mtacb), a music therapist combines music therapy and doula support to effectively support each family through the birth process. couples chose pre-made playlists from our library and may have customized playlists created. the music therapist uses the playlists to inspire move
