St Albans Woodland Burial Trust

a not for profit charity offering woodland burials in conjunction with the restoration of a 350 acre ancient woodland. with emphasis on green, eco-friendly practices we also look to encourage native wildlife and fauna. the woodland offers individuals and families a final resting place amongst secluded glades - irrespective of their faith (or none). the serene and tranquil setting enjoys guaranteed protection (due to its rare, consecrated status - one of only two such protected woodlands in the uk) and currently extends over 12 acres. it is nestled amongst a further 60 acres of woodland which has been planted around us ensuring that we have plenty of established, young woodland to 'grow into'. all the staff and volunteers are trained and highly qualified grief counselors, available 24/7 should people ever need them.
