st. andrew’s school, founded in 1894 by grace arents, is located in the oregon hill section of richmond, va. st. andrew's school is one of a handful of independent schools in the country providing high caliber education to children from families with limited resources through a full scholarship for every child. implementing an extended learning time model and employing a whole-child approach to education, st. andrew’s provides students with sturdy foundations upon which to build a successful future. the school's interests lie in the areas of progressive education, social-emotional learning, teaching children of poverty, nutrition and healthy lifestyles, mutual respect and nonprofit management.
