St. Croix Valley Habitat for Humanity

st. croix valley habitat for humanity is the local habitat affiliate serving pierce and st. croix counties, wi. we were founded in 1997, when a concerned group of individuals congregated together and applied to habitat international to obtain affiliate status. since then, we have built nearly 70 homes in our communities and are currently working on our upcoming house in spring valley, wi. we believe in helping to provide affordable, decent housing for all through our business model that utilizes "sweat-equity" between our staff, volunteers, and our partner families. our families must meet a minimum criteria of 250 hours per adult in the unit that must be applied towards the construction of their habitat home, as well as mandatory home ownership and budgeting classes. our core mission remains the same, as we also provide supplemental programs geared towards home repair, maintenance, and neighborhood revitalization.
