welcome. justice. equity. community. loyola parish is colorado's jesuit parish in the archdiocese of denver. together we aspire to become, in the vision of pope francis, not a "new" church but a "different" church - a church "open to the newness that god wants to suggest," "present in a way that can weave greater bonds of friendship with society and the world." located in denver's historic whittier neighborhood, loyola has for many years been central to the lives of denver's black catholics. standing on the shoulders of giants, we strive to move from welcome to inclusion, understanding that there can be no justice without the gospel - and no gospel without justice.
