since our foundation in 1911, st john’s college has offered students a welcoming and encouraging environment in which to spend their time at university. of all our achievements, we are most proud of producing a community of friends. st john’s has one of the strongest and most supportive collegiate traditions at the university of queensland. all our students are enrolled in the university of queensland, the queensland conservatorium of music or the queensland university of technology. our college is an ideal size for students. it’s large enough to provide a supportive network no matter what subjects you are taking, but still small enough to remain friendly and personal. we enjoy a beautiful setting on the st lucia campus, close to the river and surrounded by plenty of green space. it’s only a few minutes’ walk to faculties, libraries and sports facilities at the university. st john’s has produced leading and respected members in every profession, notably 18 rhodes scholars, cambridg
