st joseph’s specialist trust is a co-educational residential and day school catering for children between the ages of 5 – 19 with complex and severe learning difficulties. st joseph’s has excellent provision for students, within the above categories, who are on the autistic spectrum. the school has developed excellent provision for students with communication and interaction difficulties and in 2009 achieved specialist status in the sen area of communication and interaction. we have a purpose built therapies centre which was completed in 2011. st joseph’s is non-maintained and has full dcsf approval; we currently deal with around 20 local authorities and have built up a wide reputation for high quality provision for students with complex special needs.
