st joseph’s college is an independent co-educational day school in the centre of reading. it has recently enjoyed a number of successes, including being honoured with three awards - independent school of the year at the times educational supplement independent school awards, the outstanding progress award at the education business awards, and leadership team of the year at the leadership awards. during this period the school has significantly cut senior fees, and these are now considerably lower than other local independent schools. the college has also implemented a campus-wide investment programme, as many aspects of the buildings and grounds have been updated and improved, including the college hall, dining hall, swimming pool, classrooms, new astroturf pitches, drama studio and a new music block. however, more important than the awards and the developments is the desire to create a school where each pupil is happy and enjoys coming to school. with this in mind, st joseph’s
