St. Louis Area Mensa

st. louis area mensa (slam) is an official local group of american mensa, ltd., "the high iq society." we encompass eastern missouri and southern illinois. american mensa, ltd., is an international society of people who score at or above the 98th percentile on any of several standardized tests. american mensa has more than 50,000 members, and, worldwide, mensa international has over 100,000 members in more than 40 countries. st. louis area mensa has approximately 700 members. the purposes of mensa are: (1) to identify and foster human intelligence for the benefit of humanity; (2) to encourage research on the nature, characteristics and uses of intelligence; and (3) to provide a stimulating intellectual and social environment for its members.
