st mark universal copts care is a uk registered charity, dedicated to helping christians in need, along with others in some of the poorest areas of egypt and sudan. these countries have been through extreme political turmoil in recent years, leaving their economies weakened and state support scarcer than ever before. there are around 13 million christians in egypt, and over 6 million in sudan. around half of these are estimated to be in need of support, whether housing, healthcare services or financial support to help establish sustainable businesses. st mark universal copts care was founded to give these people somewhere to turn and access to much needed resources. although there are some existing charities to help christians in egypt, these tend to focus on a specific type of support or specific groups. we realised that there was no organisation responsible for taking a more holistic view of people's needs, and mapping exactly what help is needed and where. st mark universal copts ca
