st-nxp wireless has been created by bringing together the wireless operations of two of the world’s leading semiconductor companies: stmicroelectronics and nxp. the joint venture between two strong players in the wireless communications semiconductor market combines successful businesses that together generated revenues of around $3b in 2007. by feb. 2009 st-nxp wireless was merged with the ericsson mobile platforms division of ericsson ab, creating a new, 50+ - 50- jv between stmicroelectronics and ericsson ab.
