St. Thomas Medical Group

st thomas medical group was set up in 1969, and has grown to become the largest general practice in exeter with around 39,000 patients - approximately 20% of its population. we have health centres at st thomas, exwick, on the university of exeter campus and at pathfinder village. our largest site is st thomas health centre where we have three gp partners and nine salaried gps caring for approximately 16,000 patients. we also have gp registrars (training) working with us. we have 9 practice nurses at st thomas and a large number of secretarial and reception staff. the building is home to the district nursing team and the complex care team. clinics are also held by midwives, members of the community mental health team and community physiotherapists. we have a branch site at exwick with four partners, one salaried gp and one registrar, with two nurses. we also run the university health centre on campus, with three partners, five salaried doctors, and five nurses. we also have a smal
