st. matthew lutheran church is a community of believers in jesus christ that holds steadfast to the teachings of the bible as the inspired word of god. we are affiliated with the lutheran church-missouri synod (lcms). our mission we, the members of the body of christ, at st. matthew lutheran church, responding to god's love and selfless concern, dedicate ourselves and our congregation to the continual growth of the body of christ by unceasing efforts in the following areas: worship, outreach, education and stewardship. worship our worship style can best be described as "joyfully traditional" in that we worship our lord with reverence and with joy in our hearts. the lord's supper is celebrated at all sunday morning worship services and on most holidays. outreach as a church body, we are dedicated to the great commission of our lord to "go and make disciples of all nations." our outreach efforts extend from the nearby mission fields of the barrington-area to such places as the gulf coast
