st. therese catholic academy (stca) is a dynamic, diverse, k-8 school whose mission is to ignite the faith, minds and dreams of our students and to prepare them to excel spiritually, academically and socially in high school, college and beyond. over 70% of our student body receives financial aid, with the school providing over $250,000 in tuition assistance. over 50% of our families qualify for free and reduced lunch. embracing diversity is a cornerstone of our mission and has been for 90 years. although we are located in seattle’s madrona neighborhood, our students come from more than 30 zip codes and represent a variety of faith traditions and cultural and family backgrounds. over 90% are children of color and nearly 33% identify with more than one race. stca is recognized for our outstanding academic programs, family-like atmosphere, cultural diversity and openness to people from all walks of life.
