staer was established in 1953 in the electronics and telecommunication industry. in 1975 the company set a proper engineering department in charge of process and automation control . at the beginning of the 80’s, staer developed its industry presence, experience and knowledge within the oil & gas applications, by the implementation of two prestigious orders for the supply, on “turn-key” basis, of scada systems for the automation and control of the city gas network for the company italgas, and the automation and control of the algerian-italian methane pipeline for scogat (snam) in tunisia. in march 2008 the new company staer sistemi was created, inheriting all the professional ties of staer and supported by managers from ict market, dedicated to supply of turn-key systems, by means of an approach of solution provider and system integrator. staer sistemi has continued to develop new hw and sw solutions, following and often being ahead of the technological development and tending more tow
