matt stais founded matthew stais architects (msa) in breckenridge in 1995 on the belief that practical, sustainable design could enhance the spaces around us. having built a foundation in architecture at the university of virginia, matt began his career working for firms on the east coast before making his home here in the mountains of colorado. with passion for architecture in the high country, our firm has since been creating compelling, custom designs for a wide range of project types in summit county and across the west. we are thrilled to now announce, after 25 great years in breck, we have not only rebranded as stais architecture and interiors (sai), but we have relocated to a new collaborative workspace just down the road in frisco! our new office features an interiors studio that enables us to expand our offerings and design more comprehensively. our team comes from a variety of backgrounds, giving us the opportunity to see new design perspectives and implement multiple dis
