stand up placer began as volunteer-led 24-hour rape crisis line. over 36 years, we have become the provider of comprehensive services for place survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence and human trafficking and their significant others. our mission, ending the legacy of abuse by providing survivors of domestic and sexual violence with services and resources, fostering communities where abuse is not tolerated, guides all our programming. we serve residents of placer county seeking safety and healing from the effects of dometic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking and their family members. stand up placer, is dedicated to providing survivor-driven services that offer victims a skill set to heal from their trauma and to create new lives of strength and self-sufficiency. our major services include a 24-hour crisis line; emergency domestic violence shelter; emergency food and clothing; job readiness training and search assistance; a children's advocate for safe house
