standard printing began in the 1930’s in spencer, iowa, and has been operated as a family-owned business since 1968. design services were added in 1987, changing the name to standard printing and design, inc. in 1998, a design studio branch office opened in ames, iowa. recently this office expanded into it’s current location above the campus bookstore, across from lake laverne in campustown, ames. today, operating in a state-of-the-art production facility, owners scott degeest, craig gabhart and greg rasch share a company with 34 full-time employees that continues to focus on high-quality offset printing. along with design, mailing and fulfillment services, sp&d seeks to exceed expectations, while providing the personal service that customers deserve.
