Standup for the Cure

standup for the cure is a 501c3 non-profit corporation specializing in standup paddling events and campaigns that raise money and awareness for early breast cancer detection, education and research. standup for the cure was established in 2011 in newport beach, california and is presented by riviera paddlesurf. our goal is to host events nationwide as the national affiliate for susan g komen for the cure. our events introduce breast cancer patients, survivors and supporters to the healthy, active lifestyle of standup paddling in a festive atmosphere. you can expect paddling lessons and demos, a 5k "fun" paddle, breast cancer and melanoma screenings, live music, great food and beverages, silent auction and opportunity drawings. our sponsors and vendors cover all our hard costs so that 100% of entry fees and donations go directly to the local susan g komen affiliate to aid the under served of the community.
