the standupster movement seeks to educate students to act when bullying occurs. no person should stand silent in the face of hatred. drawing from the unthinkable acts of the holocaust, specifically accounts from holocaust survivor david zauder, the standupster organization equips audiences with the knowledge and courage to use moral leadership and take a stand. by defining bullying through the events and atrocities of the holocaust, standupster seeks to enlighten students, 5th grade and up, about the incredible cost of standing by in the face of bullying. beginning as a local movement, the standupster name has spread internationally and is furthered by the publication of founder karen z. brass’s autobiography, i am a standupster: a second-generation holocaust survivor’s account by the daughter of david zauder. standupster® presentations impacts students across the country by giving them tools to create environments of change that result in safety for all students, and where the majorit
