more than a food bank. the stanwood camano food bank and services served over 1,700 families in the last year, distributing over 1,000,000 pounds of food. we strive to be a beacon of hope by serving our community with over 2,000 volunteer hours each month. with the help of our generous donors, we provide a wide variety of food, as well as pet food and basic toiletries, to those in need. our thrift store is a major donor to the food bank. the revenue from the store helps pay for the organization’s staff, key programs, and services we offer to our community. monetary donations are then used for programs, food, and necessities to alleviate hunger and provide basic needs for the members that come to the food bank. these programs include the h.o.p.e. backpack program, a simple gesture, warm coats for kids, and christmas house. mission: stanwood camano food bank provides resources and connections to alleviate hunger and meet the basic needs of individuals and families in our community.
