star-mites gym sports started by a desire to introduce pre school children to the great sport of gymnastics. mother and daughter gail and suzanne melinger teamed up in 1991 to create what has become the largest fully equipped gymnastics centre in bayswater, perth western australia . the programs we hold include pre-school gymnastics, general gymnastics, men's & woman's gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, sports acrobatics and cheerleading in 1992 star-mites gym sports opened its doors in a 760 sqm factory in bayswater. whilst still teaching pre-school classes it introduced competitive and recreational women's and men's gymnastics to its program, through the dedicated work of both gail and suzanne the gym club enjoyed great success. with the help of their committed staff and the continuing expansion of the membership base in 1998 the club was able to lease an adjoining factory, knocking down a wall the club now had over 1050 sqm of floor space.
