welcome to the transmission! star transmission & star assembly are two daimler subsidiaries in the heart of romania, in alba county. star transmission, in cugir, manufactures gearwheels and shafts as well as machined components for engines, transmissions and steering systems. it is also home to the technology center and a training establishment. star assembly was set up in 2013 in sebes, with production of the five-speed automatic transmission launching in the same year, while the first seven-speed automatic transmission left the assembly line one year later, in 2014. since 2016 we also assemble the newest type of gearboxes: the 9g-tronic. we encourage our employees to learn and specialize in their field of expertise by offering training courses and workshops. our work environment brings together creativity, quality, commitment and the desire to be part of a great team, that’s why we encourage anything that adds knowledge and strengthens personal development. we combine an active prese
