starboard restructuring partners is an independent restructuring firm focused on advisory, distressed investing and provision of interim management. we founded starboard to fill a gap in the brazilian market for sophisticated restructuring solutions and funding for distressed companies. the firm was founded in january 2017 by a team of 25 restructuring and operational professionals who began working together in 2013, having executed 17 highly complex restructuring transactions since then. circa us$ 1.0b of new money was raised and deployed as catalyst for these completed transactions. the team pioneered innovative restructuring techniques and new ways of working with shareholders and creditors of distressed companies in brazil. through our advisory services we gain operational and financial insight into companies that allow us to identify opportunities to catalyze restructuring settlements through injection of capital and lead to exclusive invitations from shareholders and creditors to
