starett energy service is committed to providing quality well and midstream operations and maintenance, equipment, containment, and roustabout services for the marcellus and utica shale plays across the appalachian region. starett’s well service, llc was founded by joe and gina starett and began operations in 2002, in jane lew, wv. with joe’s years of experience in the oil & gas industry, and gina’s accounting and business background, the duo decided to embark on their very own entrepreneurship. the company began as a swab rig service company with one swab rig, one employee, and one customer servicing the shallow well market. in 2005, joe began to notice a need for roustabout services and began providing those services, positioning starett’s well service for even greater growth. as the dynamics of the industry evolved into the marcellus and utica shales, joe again recognized a need for quality roustabout services and decided to focus on growing the business into those markets as well.
