what began several years ago as a vision by sheila hodges — owner and chairman of a family of companies including starr textile services — to open state-of-the-art operations to serve the hospitality industry in the gulf coast states of alabama, louisiana, florida and mississippi became a reality. starr textile services is committed to the highest standards of service, relationships and profitability – balanced to the benefit of our customers. the first 30,000-square-foot facility in foley, alabama, soon expanded and a louisiana plant on magazine street in new orleans was added. each facility backs up the other by utilizing a large fleet for pick-up and delivery services to clients in four states. business boomed quickly and now starr textile services of louisiana is housed in a new 70,000-square-foot plant opened in 2013 in jefferson parrish, la. the state-of-the art facilities are highly efficient, innovative, and environmentally-friendly.
