standing together and raising standards educational firm (s.t.a.r.s.) was founded by dr. myeshia smith, who believes all students have a right to high-quality and equitable education. to reach this goal, s.t.a.r.s. offers strategic and intentional consultation to all education stakeholders. this includes professional development to school entities and communities who serve students with disabilities and their families. we also provide intentional and individualized transition planning and advocacy for students with disabilities to help foster their sense of agency. additionally, we provide transformative consultation to student accessibility services departments within colleges and universities.
