Start Ait: Student Action for Responsive Leadership in Tourism

start ait is a non-stock, non-profit, socio-civic, and political organization based in the asian institute of tourism (ait), university of the philippines diliman, quezon city. we are an affiliate organization of kaisa - nagkakaisang iskolar para sa pamantasan at sambayanan, a university-based political party. the principles of the organization are encapsulated in the word start: service, transparency, accessibility, responsiveness, and thorough consultation. our logo is composed of the oblation and sarimanok elements which symbolizes one's unwavering dedication in serving the nation and diversity as well as commitment to inclusivity in plight against injustices, respectively. start ait continuously strives to reinforce calls and actions for university-wide and national campaigns, environmental justice, and sustainable tourism development. as we champion social progress with social justice, start ait echoes the cries of the poor, marginalized, and oppressed.
