start-up mentors was launched in 2012 as an online mentoring/coaching business. we primarily reached overseas business start-ups that we helped to reach business success through online mentoring sessions via skype, facebook, whatsapp, e-mail, and other platforms. we decided in 2018 to start an offline version to benefit our local communities. mentoring or coaching is a relatively new concept in south africa, business coaching helps you, the business owner, to achieve business success by providing an independent view of your business processes and behaviours and helping you to identify your goals and the action plans necessary to achieve them. business ownership can be one of the most rewarding challenges you will face, but it can also be lonely, and you are a martyr if you think you can – or need to – do it on your own. a business coach is an advisor, a mentor, a partner, a motivator, someone to keep you focused and hold you accountable. business coaching is not consulting, we do not
