the embedded systems lab was created in 2006 with r&d funds from a private company installed at manuas industrial pole. we count on 11 professors/lectures, 08 researchers/developers, 12 undergraduated students, and researchers from other universities. we have been working on projects such as quality energy analyser, calibration system for protection relay, video compression and transmission systems, equipment for power distribution management, and microelectronics (infrastructure). we count on the experience of more than 25 years of some of our researchers. they worked for local companies at the engineering department on projects such as: tv sets, embedded systems on dsp and microprocessors, embedded systems on fpga, swicthed mode power supplies, automation sytems for testing and industrial processes, development of systems in the labview platform, etc. so, we believe that experience is crucial for linking the research to the local industry needs.
