Staten Island Ballet

the staten island ballet theater inc. is a §501 (c) (3) not-for-profit arts organization. it creates fully staged professional performances year-round, and operates its separate conservatory for dance training. dancer and faculty credits include american ballet theatre, paris opera ballet, dance theatre of harlem, martha graham dance, new york city ballet, bolshoi, kirov and boston ballet, among others. the new york times calls the company “sensuous and fierce...with refreshing directness,” and timeout ny says, “impressive.” annual productions include the new york international choreographers festival, the nutcracker, dance up close ™ and signatures, featuring original and classic ballets performed by up to 30 dancers. venues include the williamson theatre at cuny-staten island, and the historic st. george theatre. the ballet provides a significant level of free and subsidized tickets to its public events. the conservatory curriculum uses a classical regimen in dance and ballet arts tr
