Steel Coleman Davis Partnership
architects and quantity surveyors. steel coleman davis was founded in 1953. it has grown and shrunk over the years, always being based in taunton. the nature of the local market means a general and varied workload covering both public and private clients. the practice has grown a reputation for a reasonably traditional style of building, suited to its location and surroundings. our buildings are not generally controversial, but are well liked and used being delivered on time and budget. in 2006 progress in technology meant we could dispense with our taunton office. it had become a great expense that few people had the need to visit. we now work from home offices saving many thousands of miles traveling a year. the internet is our connection and we are able to pass documents and drawings between us, other consultants, developers, clients and local authorities. we can even contemplate work further afield as after a thorough initial visit and survey there is little need to travel again. o
