history the steel strong community federal credit union has been serving employees of the irvin works mill and their families for the past 80 years. we promise to continue to be “your full-service financial institution: growing and changing for the future of our members.” who we serve over the years, our credit union has been happily serving the steelworkers of the mon valley works – irvin plant, edgar thomson plant, the petersen machine shop, and their families. we are now open to persons who live, work, worship, or attend school in the townships of elizabeth or forward, pennsylvania; the boroughs of braddock, dravosburg, jefferson hills, lincoln, north braddock, or west mifflin, pennsylvania; or the city of clairton, pennsylvania.
