Steele Creek Outreach, Inc.

steele creek outreach is a non profit incorporation that resides in charlotte, nc. our outreach group consists of over 30 people who strive to assist the homeless and supply food and necessities to those in need. there are 11,000 people locally who are homeless. nationwide, that figure jumps to 2 million. last year, 50 million people nationwide were food insecure. steele creek outreach is dedicated to improving charlotte's social capital and in restoring social justice. sco has three areas of focus. the first and highest priority are our sco goody bags. we collect items such as, bottled watter, packaged crackers, granola bars/breakfast bars, hand warmers, pudding/applesauce cups, lotion, toothbrush/toothpaste, cough drops, and chapstick for the bags. we then take all of the items donated, and then sco buys the remainder items needed to assemble 120 of these bags per month. the bags are then distributed to the unsheltered homeless, uptown. our second area of focus is that we have partne
