Steeple Chase Bike Tour

the steeple chase is a cycling and walking event that raises money for three critical social service organizations in eastern connecticut. cycling routes include 100, 62.5, 50, 35 or 20 miles, while the walk travels 5 miles through victorian willimantic. since its establishment in 1991, the steeple chase has raised $1.4 million, thanks to support from its committed cyclists and walkers; corporate, business and foundation sponsors; individual contributors; and volunteers. 2019 marks the event's 28th year, when the ride takes place on saturday, august 17. event beneficiaries include: 1) windham area interfaith ministry (waim), an organization that provides furniture, appliances, linens, career and everyday clothing, and emergency financial assistance annually to more than 8,000 people from windham and twelve surrounding towns; 2) perception programs, a private, non-profit behavioral health agency offering hope, support and a path to recovery from co-occurring substance use and ment
