bryon p. steiner has been an artist his whole life. he started working as a professional graphic designer in 2001, after graduating magna cum laude from csu, chico. he holds a b.a. in communication design, with an emphasis in visual communication. while studying design, he also worked as an artist and designer for chico state's award-winning student newspaper, the orion. he drew three separate comics each week, as well as countless editorial illustrations. one of his cartoons won 3rd place nationally in the 2001 college media advisors competition. while working for the orion, bryon learned many of his current professional skills, including working under tight deadlines and dealing with the responsibilities of a real job. he and his fellow students saw their hard work pay off - the orion was presented with the acp pacemaker award, considered by many to be the highest award in college journalism. when he is not working, bryon enjoys running, cycling, dog training, backpacking, and workin
