jenny steinman heyden's art studio at www.steinmanstudios.com in milwaukee features original paintings on canvas and greeting cards. first started in chicago in 1996, steinman heyden created public sculptures and painted one of the original cows on parade works for the chicago installation. she also sold her work in over 29 locations nationwide, and created a specialty piece for a high-end fine craft catalog. following a niche award in 1999, steinman heyden was on a quest to single-handedly bring back the hand painted lazy susan, and was commissioned to create restaurant full of one-of-a-kind works for the bangkok conrad hilton. steinman studios now focuses on paintings which continue to reflect an irreverent mirth and whimsy. it is also a way to connect with the german expressions from her studies in east german women's fiction from oberlin college.
