"the stellenbosch innovation district is a space where innovation actors connect, so as to build an inclusive and sustainable smart stellenbosch economy" the stellenbosch innovation district management organization (sidmo) is a not for profit organization. the primary functions of sidmo are to ensure the effective management of the stellenbosch innovation district, and to assist in achieving the sid's primary goal of transitioning stellenbosch town into a showcase smart and sustainable town by 2020. this means the sid will provide innovation support and incentives for implementation in stellenbosch as a showcase model. more specifically the sidmo functions include: i. the management of several innovators clubs, quarterly showcase events and annual sid conference. ii. to manage the sid budget and innovation trust. iii. to ensure effective collaboration between business, the university and government. iv. to manage the sid voucher programme. v. to assist in the implementation of collabor
