stem academy education trust was founded in 2011 by london skills & development network and the skills & development agency (previously s&da group) in recognition of the growing educational, political and business demand for high-quality, relevant and current stem-related education provision. the government and the business community acknowledge that stem-based industries will be among the key drivers in the uk’s future economic growth. this is reflected in the hugely diverse career options available to stem graduates and the highly competitive salaries they are able to command. in 2013 we launched stem academy tech city just off silicon roundabout – london’s first sixth form academy specialising in stem. after just one year it has proven to be an established and successful academy serving the local community. it was oversubscribed for the 2014 intake, demonstrating the huge demand for specialist stem institutions in london. we are aiming to replicate this success for students wi
