stemchats is a student-led, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that aims to shatter barriers in stem for underrepresented students through a transformative peer-to-peer stem education. we consist of five programs, from in-person workshops to research initiatives, that each create or connect students to opportunities to immerse themselves in stem! the stemchats team consists mostly of first-generation, low-income, minority, lgbtq+, and/or female students. being educated at mostly underfunded schools and identifying as underrepresented in the fields of stem, we understand the struggles of trying to find stem immersion and education opportunities at a young age. most importantly, our team’s background helps us relate to the students we aim to impact.
