stephen was born in kettering, northamptonshire, uk and spent the majority of his working life in the county as a police officer. stephen retired in 2005 from the police service, having served a full thirty years and set up his own training & development company. (his day job!) stephen has been published in various specialist magazines and books and has published an aide memoir for police officers and other law enforcement agency’s on drugs and driving detection. but he has always had the desire to write fiction in novel or short story form. he certainly has the background and the experience to write crime fiction and his debut novel 'blind murder,' was published in 2014. since that time he has written the sequel, 'driving dead,' and is seeking representation for his work. he has also completed a masters degree in crime fiction writing with the university of east anglia, where masterclasses run by such great authors as lee child, ian rankin, melanie mcgrath and many others formed part
