stepping forward la works with foster youth aging out of the foster care system without getting adopted or returning to their biological families. our programs support young adults (ages 14-25) as they navigate this transition into adulthood. we teach them basic life skills and connect them to the resources they need to reach their fullest potential. we offer an individualized, youth-driven approach to case management and we offer structure, support, and guidance in creating short and long-term goals that help youth achieve self-directed goals and self-sufficiency. our programs offer opportunities for the young adults to explore a variety of programs and activities and to find their voice and interests along the way. the ultimate goal of the program is to help young adults aging out of the foster care system to find a community where they have a sense of belonging, can find their voice and interests and acquire and utilize personal life skills and social skills necessary for a
