stepping stones press is an independent small press dedicated to publishing high-quality novels and short stories in the science fiction and horror genres. we focus on previously unpublished/undiscovered authors who are interested in starting their career. our program aims to take authors through the publishing process, from manuscript to finished product. the intent is to give our authors the necessary tools to publish their own work profitably and for themselves after their first book with us. it all started one frustrating day, in one "amateur" author's (but aren't we all) life. between yelling expletives at the computer in attempts to decipher the vast self-publishing world; trying to format, find editors, learn how to lay out the cover, search for reviewers, create a marketing plan, design a website, find distributors and... well let's say it was overwhelming. if only there was a place where he could've called and simply asked, "what am i supposed to do first?" that's a void we ho
