stepping stones uganda is a non-governmental organisation (ngo) committed to addressing poverty by working in partnership with the communities that we serve to build sustainable, healthy and productive communities. stepping stones uganda focuses on gender equality and women’s empowerment into poverty reduction and environment and sustainable development. working with some of the poorest families in uganda, here at stepping stones uganda, we act as a catalyst to help themselves break the barrier of poverty. by providing support and opportunities, we help the communities that we serve to help themselves. economic empowerment is a key part of what we do, by helping the communities that we serve, we provide them with the tools to secure their own economic independence, the cycle of poverty and dependency that for so long has robbed them the chance to live independent, fulfilling and rewarding lives is broken and inherited by future generations
