Steve Harkin Design

steve harkin began his design career at nike in 1995. for over a decade, he art directed global brand initiatives for basketball, running and niketown retail. he gained a deep understanding of brand design while working on projects for lebron james, kobe bryant, nike shox, battlegrounds and others. selections of harkin’s nike work have been featured in c.a. and graphis. in 2006, steve became creative director of a new design venture at formit, inc. he soon re-branded the company as herenow and integrated a multi-disciplined design team into the existing core of project managers. for five years, steve art directed and managed a team of 15 designers on a variety of print, web and retail projects. steve currently works as a freelance art director in new york city. he is fearless, calm, collaborative and personable. his specialties include art direction, design, illustration, photography and building cohesive team environments.
